How it works
Log what you paid.
Any currency. "I covered the €80 dinner." "I fronted ¥12,000 for the taxi." Snap the receipt if you want it on record.
Volumi does the math.
It handles the currencies, so nobody argues about which exchange rate someone used. Then it works out the fewest transfers to get everyone square, instead of ten little back-and-forths.
Settle up your way.
It tells you who pays who. You pay however you already do: Venmo, PayPal, Wise, cash, a bank transfer. Volumi keeps the count. It doesn't try to be your bank.

a house sharing groceries and bills, a couple keeping a running tab, any group with ongoing shared costs that don't reset cleanly each month. Plenty of folks have told us this is where a lot of the day-to-day value lives, and it's the same ledger doing the same job.
Teams & organizers
Work crews expensing group meals and organizers running trips for other people fit here too, and that's a direction we're leaning into.
Honestly not for (we'd rather point you elsewhere than sell you something you don't need):
- Tracking your own solo spending. That's a budgeting app (YNAB, Monarch, a trusty spreadsheet), and any of them will do it better than we will.
- Being your bank. Volumi keeps the count, it doesn't hold or move your money. The actual paying still happens on Venmo, Wise, your bank app, wherever you already send from.
- Running real business books. Team lunches and group trips, absolutely. Payroll, quarterly taxes, and invoices, please go find proper accounting software (and a patient accountant).
- Settling a $4 IOU with one friend who'll pay you back before you finish reading this. Just text them! (Though if that "one friend" is secretly four friends, three currencies, and a ten-day trip... hey, maybe it'll work out for you here after all.)
