Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

Volumi (“Volumi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Volumi, how we use it, and the choices available to you. Volumi is a shared ledger for recording who owes whom; it does not hold, move, or transmit money.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you create an account or sign in (for example, through Google or with an email address and password), we collect your name and email address in order to create, secure, and administer your account.
  • Content you provide. The splits, expenses, amounts, currencies, notes, payment-method labels, and any receipts you record in Volumi. This content is provided by you and is processed to operate the service.
  • Usage information. Limited, anonymized information about how the service is used, such as pages viewed and general device type, collected to maintain, secure, and improve Volumi. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, secure, and improve Volumi; to administer your account; to process subscriptions if you choose a paid plan; and to send account and transactional communications. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and Analytics

We use only the cookies and local storage necessary for the service to function, such as keeping you signed in and remembering basic preferences (for example, whether you chose light or dark mode). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. For traffic and performance metrics we rely on Cloudflare Analytics, which provides anonymized, aggregated measurements subject to Cloudflare’s processing terms.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a limited number of service providers that process information on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, security, and anonymized site analytics, subject to Cloudflare’s processing terms.
  • Supabase — authentication and secure storage of your account and ledger data, subject to Supabase’s processing terms.
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans. If you subscribe, your payment card details are provided to and handled by Stripe, not by us, subject to Stripe’s terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Volumi or its users.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete your account at any time, which removes your personal information and content from Volumi, subject to limited retention in backups until they expire and to any records we are required to keep for legal or accounting purposes. To request a copy or deletion of your information, contact us at the address below.

Children

Volumi is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the date above will be updated. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
